NicheGaps

Changelog

What's changed on NicheGaps, newest first.

  1. Shopify App Store, pricing and a new look

    • Shopify App Store reviews join the sources, held to a stricter bar than the others before a complaint counts.
    • Pricing page with a day pass, monthly and yearly Pro plans, and a billing page in your account.
    • Visitors see a teaser of every opportunity and the three newest signals; markets and the full signal feed open with a free account.
    • A moving strip of recent complaints on the home page.
    • Forgot-password, email confirmation and a contact form.
    • Support chat on every page, plus terms, a privacy policy and a cookie notice.
    • GapDemand is now NicheGaps, at nichegaps.com.
    • New typefaces: a serif for headlines and quotes, a grotesk for the interface and mono for numbers.
  2. Google Play, duplicate merging and search

    • Google Play reviews from apps and category top lists.
    • Opportunities describing the same need are merged, so one gap shows up once with all its evidence.
    • Opportunity and market pages render for search engines, with social cards, an RSS feed and llms.txt.
  3. Reddit, Hacker News and opportunities

    • Reddit and Hacker News join the App Store as sources.
    • Similar complaints are grouped into opportunities and scored on demand, momentum, competition, willingness to pay, urgency and breadth.
  4. First signals

    • App Store reviews of top-charting apps, read continuously, with a link from every signal back to the original review.
    • Sign-in and account settings.
