The gap
Sports fans, particularly those who travel frequently or want to-watch past games, struggle with restrictive location-based authentication and poor navigation in apps like NBA: Live Games & Scores and Marquee Sports Network. Current products fail to provide a flexible viewing experience for mobile users and archive access.
What people say
“You’d think that after having years to improve on what was undoubtedly one of the worst streaming apps of all time, the Cubs could have sunk a couple hundred bucks into writing some code to improve on this stank product. Nope. Janky as hell. Won’t let me watch games on the road because I “haven’t logged in at home for 30 days”?!? I don’t know what to tell you, I travel for a living and watch on my TV at home and my phone on the road. Don’t get me started about how basic the app is. It shouldn’t be that difficult to fire up a live game when I start the app. One of my favorite moments of every year is when I get to cancel my service after the Cubs inevitably eat it.”
Streaming app prevents users who travel for a living from watching games because they haven't logged in from a home location recently.
