The gap

Users of Aura: Security & Protection want a fully automated data broker removal process. Current tools require too much manual intervention, CAPTCHAs, and email confirmations, making the promise of 'automated' removal misleading.

What people say

“I subscribed to Aura primarily to remove my personal information from data broker websites. Unlike Experian Identity Protection, which handled removals in the background, Aura requires extensive manual work: lengthy loading screens, CAPTCHAs, email confirmations, and sometimes entering even more personal information directly on the broker’s website. In about two months, I completed over 300 data removal requests, with fewer than 10 requiring no assistance from me. Worse, roughly 1 in 10 attempts failed after the entire process, leaving an error message with no way to retry because the broker disappeared from the list. Endless loading screens plague nearly every feature. Credit monitoring is basic, offers little meaningful dispute assistance, and the VPN provides no real value to me. I expected a service that protects my privacy in the background, not one that turns hundreds of removal requests into a tedious, manual project. For the price, the experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I cannot recommend Aura based on my experience.”
